Danish artist Kristian van Hornsleth has designed ducati 1098 and 1198 superbike with unique paint schemes and called “Kill Me Fast Series”. These special edition bikes have been dressed up in Ducati artwork project, which includes 10 custom made painted bikes. The inspiration Kristian von Horsleth had for his “Kill Me Fast” sequence was, in reality, given by a Ducati salesman. “You never really feel anything while you hit the wall with 320 km/h,” said salesman when the artist asked him if it was harmful to trip such a bike.
Kristian von Hornsleth Statements about The “Ducati Kill Me Fast Series” :
Then I wondered why, I myself was so fascinated by this relation between amazing italian design and the superior engine technology. It is precisely this blend of beauty, speed and death, which inspired me to include this ’scuplture’ in my artistic work. The painted lines and forms interacts in a ‘futilistic’ attempt to investigate and challenge the given logic of the Ducatis design.
